Thanks for stopping by the blog today,I wanted to share something I’m real proud of from my career in this industry which is being featured in the book Pinstripe Planet. If you know anything about the custom car world or the Kustom Kulture scene then you know that Pinstripe Planet is basically the book  for hand painted pinstriping and automotive art. It was a huge honor to be included in the first book because they only picked seven pinstripers from the whole United States and I was one of them, plus I ended up with seven full pages dedicated to my work which was actually more pages than any other pinstriper in the entire book. It’s not every day you get that kind of recognition for something you’ve been doing for over 35 years but it feels good to see the hard work pay off in a big way.

The Pinstripe Planet Feature
When the publishers reached out for the first Pinstripe Planet book I knew it was going to be something special but I didn’t realize how big it would get. This book is one of the most respected publications for Kustom Kulture and it celebrates the history and the craftsmanship of what we do with the brushes and the paint. Being a pinstriping artist near me here in Phoenix is one thing but being recognized on a global level alongside legends like Von Dutch and Ed Roth is a whole different ballgame. The book showcases some of the finest pinstripers and custom painters from all over the world and being part of that group is a testament to the dedication I put into every line I paint on a car or a bike.

In those seven pages they showed a lot of the work I had done including some really high-profile stuff. One of the cool things in the book is the Chrome Von Dutch eyeball I did and some of the work I did for the Von Dutch store over in Rome, Italy. It’s crazy to think that my hand painted pinstriping has traveled that far but that’s the beauty of this craft, it’s a universal language for gearheads and art lovers alike. Hand Painted Pinstriping in the Phoenix Metro Area
I’ve been doing this in the Phoenix Metro Area for a long time now and I still love it as much as the day I started. Whether you’re looking for hot rod pinstriping for a classic build or just want to add some personality to your daily driver, I handle it all by hand using the best paints like 1-Shot and my trusty Mack brushes. I don’t use tape or stencils because that’s not what pinstriping is about, it’s about the soul and the flow of the lines that you can only get by hand. My Services and Mobility
I know it can be a hassle to move a project car or a custom motorcycle sometimes so I do offer mobile service depending on the job. I’m based out of the area of 75th Ave and Union Hills but I travel around the valley to help customers get their rides looking right. I do everything from fine decorative lines on golf carts to full intricate designs on hot rods and lowriders. If you’re in the Phoenix Metro Area and need hand painted pinstriping I can usually come to you if the shop setup allows for it.I also do gold leafing and custom lettering if you want that old-school sign shop look on your doors or your tailgate.

Why Hand Painted Matters
There’s a lot of “pinstripe” tape out there these days but it just doesn’t have the same life as a hand-painted line.When I paint a car I look at the body lines and let the brush follow the curves of the metal,it’s a personalized process that you just can’t get from a machine or a sticker.That’s why publications like Pinstripe Planet focus on the artists who do it by hand because it’s a dying art that we’re trying to keep alive.If you want your ride to stand out at the next show you need that authentic touch.You can see a lot of my finished work in my portfolio to see what I mean about the detail and the quality.

I am one of the few pinstriping artists near me that still does everything 100% by hand and I take a lot of pride in that.Being one of the seven chosen from the United States for that book was a big deal but my favorite part is still seeing the look on a customer’s face when they see their car finished.Whether it’s hot rod pinstriping or a custom motorcycle,I treat every job with the same respect.
